I’ll let you into a secret……
The trick to a perfect picnic is not the food, nor is it your surroundings. Of course good food and weather is a bonus. But it’s ultimately the company you surround yourself. Whether it be friends, family or loved ones, it’s an absolute must to have a great picnic blanket / mat too.
Before being introduced to our Mandala Design Recycled Mat we would either use a blanket or a picnic rug with a waterproof backing. Neither of these solutions provided preventative measures from sand and transporting it into the car. With the Mandala Mat a simple shake or two and the sand is gone.
The size of the mat is a bonus too. Being a huge 2.4m in diameter it can fit the whole family and everything you might need for your picnic or beach trip. It provides for good space between you and whoever your neighbour might be at a packed event or busy beach. You never know who you might meet or bump into out and about!
Our family are keen waterskiiers and do as many trips to the lake as we can during the summer months. Most Wednesday evenings we pack our bags and dinner and head out to catch the flat water and sunsets. During these trips it is most likely that friends bring their four legged friends. Many of which end up running all over anything that might resemble a mat. If any dirt is left on the mat a quick brush off usually does the trick and it’s ready for another adventure.

We get so many comments from people about how colourful the mat is and it certainly brings our family some cheer. We love that it’s made from 100% recycled plastics. Approximately 2.1kg of plastics such as plastic bags and PET bottles are used to make the mat. It is great to know that this is being removed from our landfills and waterways.
